Notes

Use high-quality fresh lemons for best flavor enhancement and nutritional benefit from vitamin C., Recommended pasta shapes are fettuccine, linguine, or penne as they hold the cream sauce well., To adjust sauce consistency, add more cream or Parmesan to thicken, or reserved pasta water to thin., Avoid overcooking pasta to prevent mushy texture; taste test a minute before timer ends., Add lemon juice slowly to prevent sauce curdling; cook sauce gently over medium-low heat with steady whisking., Protein additions like grilled chicken, sautéed shrimp, or pan-seared tofu can be added for extra substance., Vegetable add-ins like asparagus, peas, or spinach complement the cream and lemon flavors., Store pasta and sauce separately in airtight containers for up to 4 days in the refrigerator; reheat gently with a splash of cream or pasta water to revive sauce creaminess., Avoid using too much lemon juice to maintain balanced acidity.
